Mahtook seems to think he’s going to stay at Stanford

I agree. Classes start in 20 days.

I think Jay and the staff were involved with him before last season. I was somewhat confused at the time, but makes more sense now. Last minute infield depth if it came to it, but also forging a relationship for the future.

They were. I think we discussed in the recruiting thread at the time.

This team is LOADED.

I'd feel a lot better with another MI. We're still a bit weak there especially with Guidry not getting summer reps. Hopefully hes at least still in the gym and Milam comes in ready to play

Cooley is not a pitcher, he's an OF
Seo could factor in on the mound as I don't see him playing in the IF this upcoming season with the depth

I think the middle IF will be some combination of Braswell, Milam, Nippolt, and Guidry
Nippolt is solid defensively so you may sacrifice some offense
Milam comes in as most heralded of the fr
Guidry will need to hit but he's lacking the at bats

Thompson played SS in high school but I don't know what position he will end up at LSU, possibly 3B behind White this year

I got destroyed the other day when I suggested that Mahtook might be wrong on this and now he has completely flipped?

How do you feed all of those guys that are fully capable of playing at a big time program? Hell, even without Montgomery it's pretty stacked. But the additions of Bingham, and maybe Montgomery, you can assume you are taking away two spots that kids thought they would be competing for this year and asking them to wait another year.

It’s not show friends it’s show business. Bring in as much talent as you can and let it sort itself out. Nobody is entitled to anything, in championship programs you have to earn it everyday

I agree 100%. I wasn't suggesting that JJ doesn't get the best of the best. The competition breeds success. I was just pointing out that it's going to be a battle between some real dudes out there.

When intersquads are harder than SEC games you know you have something

Haven’t read the entire thread, just last couple of pages, and not sure where to post this, but ex-Tiger Grant Fontenot committed to UT in Austin

He had elbow issues while here

You forgetting that you said Kendall was more in the know and he was picking State?

At the time we were arguing, Kendall Rogers was saying “it would be a mild surprise if Montgomery didn’t end up at Miss State.”
