LSU hoops playing in Greenbrier Tip Off nov 22-24

at the Greenbrier resort, teams included are LSU, Pitt, Wisconsin and UCF

Good update!
You never know now how good teams will be from year to year, but all 4 teams were "post-season" teams this past season. Wisconsin in the NCAA, LSU and UCF in NIT, Pitt declined an NIT bid after getting snubbed for the NCAA.
LSU is going to play @ Kansas St this season. LSU will also play an ACC team at home. So with the inclusion into this tournament, that's at least 4 games vs "name brand" opponents. If they can get at least one more major conf. game (likely at a neutral site like they did against Texas last year) this could be a solid non-conf. schedule.

LSU struggled against the brand name non conference last season hopefully this season we will play better against the brand name teams .

They are the kind of team Wade was good at scheduling. I don’t know how good they will be this year since I don’t follow them, but last years Mcneese was a quality win at a discount price. I suppose last seasons team didn’t have guaranteed wins in the early season though

Home and home deal. The tournament we played them in had nothing to do with it. I do agree though that it's a bit stale

It’s like there’s a rule that LSU is only allowed to play Kansas St, TCU or Texas Tech if we’re playing a Big 12 team. I realize it’s a part of a home and home but outside of playing OU with Buddy Hield and Texas last year we only play the three teams I just mentioned.

Good, outside the required game vs. an opponent from the SEC/Big12 challenge every other year, a decent home OOC opponent has been rare the last several years.
