House is on the list of coaching candidates, per Bruce Feldman-The Athletic (no link/subscription). Strong ties to Michigan State.
quote:

House is a Michigan State graduate who began his coaching career as a Spartan graduate assistant. The 45-year-old, a protege of Steve Spagnuolo, did a really impressive job at LSU last year, despite having seven new starters and missing his most talented defensive lineman in Maason Smith. The Tigers rose from 10th in the SEC in scoring defense to fifth. They also jumped from No. 13 to No. 3 in red-zone touchdown percentage.

I don't want House to leave us. Continuity with coordinators is very important to sustained success. He is competent and makes good in game adjustments most of the time. He is also fairly creative.

Now when we give up a score on Saturday, I am within my rights to change my opinion lol.

We have a competent Head Coach now so he will replace him with someone as good or better if he is selected.

When other D1 schools are hiring your coordinators that is a good thing!

House is a good coach, but that seems like a big jump...

why would anyone be “meh” about House leaving? He’s shown to be highly innovative and continuity at coordinators when they are good is a huge advantage.

House is one of 15 candidates listed by Feldman in that article. He isn't in the top 10 most qualified from the list. OP left out some context for the clicks.

Probably on a long list of candidates right now. House wouldn’t want the recruiting demands a HC does imo.

Its a good thing to be mentioned.

But I don't think he's getting a job like that. I would expect him to get an NFL DC job first.

Brian Kelly isn’t going to have a convicted felon vetting potential coordinators for him.

Plus, it's always easy to find good coordinators if you're a school like LSU. (Unless you're O and too busy chasing 40-year-old blondes to conduct a job search) There are coordinators who bomb out as head coaches, coordinators who end up out of a job because their head coach stinks or the guy coaching the other side of the ball was lousy.

It’s a sign of a healthy and strong program if your coordinators are leaving for Power Five head coaching jobs.
