Because if the DTs actually Suck and can’t stop the run….. we will need the linebackers and a safety crashing the defensive line.

As a result, balls will be flying into the secondary on play action and we NEED cover guys !!!

We are very weak at CB. People don't really talk about it only because we are so weak at DT.

I think our youth, injuries and coaches made us look much worse than we really were. If Zy makes it back we could be decent which would be a huge improvement. Stamps, Toviano, JK and Jyaire all have legit playing time and actually have a legit coordinator and position coach this year. Our pressure packages will be very important

No we're not. We are not as good as we are accustomed to being, which is top three or four in the nation, but we are fairly good at CB for 2024.

No, we are bad.

We are bottom three or four in the conference.

Im actually pretty optimistic about cb and I think for good reason. Unlike DT we actually have a lot of talented (yet unproven) options. The coaching was also really upgraded.

I think the first month or so could be rough w growing pains but we’re ultimately going to see 2-3 of these guys emerge as THE guys, we always do.

I get that it’s not clear now but doesn’t mean it won’t become a strength by year end. Also less prone to injury than other spots so whoever our best is might hold up all year.

My prediction is Zy & Stamps as the guys, and at least one will make all sec lists by year end.

I think we are weaker at safety than corner. Gilbert is OK and Sage is Sage. Hope one of the young guys steps up and takes over one of the starter spots.

HMM.. Never thought of it that way... so.. you are saying that the defense is a TEAM... and that if one position is weak, it may affect the others? profound.

Well in your scenario why play action?
It's a waste of time if everyone knows your throwing the ball everywhere. Who believes the fake?
