The amount of times I’ve seen on here “he can play in the NFL at that size because Aaron Donald did”…

He was drafted by the Detroit Lions late in the draft.
Technically he said "wasn't not" drafted. So I guess it was accidently a correct statement.

However, he’s not that much different from Aaron Donald size-wise
I’m about the same size and build as Drew Brees
Why wasn’t I drafted??

The quickness is close enough to be comparable. It's the strength, speed, and explosiveness where Donald was on different levels.
Donald - 6-0 3/4, 285, 4.68 40-yard, 1.63 10-yard, 32 vertical, 9-8 broad, 35 reps
Wingo - 6-0 1/4, 284, 4.85 40-yard, 1.64 10-yard, 31.5 vertical, 9-1 broad, 28 reps
They're real close on arm length. The 10-yard is close. Donald was ahead on the 40-yard. That translates to Wingo not being able to finish as many plays as Donald, although, he may be able to win initially with quickness, and get penetration. If he's able to do that, and disrupt plays, and get pressures, I think the Lions will be happy with the pick.
Wingo consistently showed good play strength. Not near as many tfls and sacks as Donald had in college, but obviously levels of competition were different, and Wingo was hurt this past season. I'm not sure how much the injury affected him in the draft.
John Randle was another all-timer that played at a similar size. Henry Thomas too. Just getting to some fraction of the production of guys like Donald, Randle, and Thomas is a good NFL career for a 6th round pick.
Edit: #75 Kutas was the player Wingo flatbacked against Arkansas.

you've watched the draft over the years and heard all the buzz words, right?
+ Undersized
+ short arms
+ small hands
Still, based on his effort and durability I expected him to be picked a lot sooner. Not sure why he fell so low
