The problem is the deadline
Without knowing their new coach and likely won't by July 1 they are probably covering themselves to at least have options.
The new coach at Zona can always come in and start processing players as well.
Depending on new coach most will likely stay but at that gives Jay time to cherrypick the ones he wants or has a need for at LSU.

Yeah, there will probably be a ton of names in the portal that don't actually end up moving. Just making sure their options are open on 7/1.

Would not be shocked if a handful enter the portal from LSU
Doesn't necessarily mean they are leaving but it gives them options as Jay trys and sets the roster
Then you wait to see what players leave in the draft and signees that are going pro to get a better handle on the numbers you are dealing with

Dude, if you make an all-star roster between a CWS team with an RPI of 8 and a Super Regional team with an RPI of 18, that is one STACKED roster. Especially considering most of the stars off both teams were underclassmen.
