Nah you’ve got the order wrong The NCAA leverages this mind set for teams like LSU and AU into self admitting violations and taking the lighter punishment that comes with it, so that the NCAA never actually has to over see what’s going on or really stick their nose into it for a conviction
Well Wade pretty much self admitted to violations on tape. NCAA has the leverage it needs already.

Not as blatant as some claim.

What paper trail exactly?

A lot apparently since you said we are blatantly cheating relative to other programs.

This scenario reminds me of a scene from Scarface where Tony Montana wants to get of the hook. This sums up the Will Wade situation:

Take off the purple and gold blinders and see it for what it is. I know you want so badly to believe we’re innocent, and I do too, but be realistic. Oh wait, it’s the rant, being realistic isn’t a thing here.

No, I'd rather you back up your claim. No blinders are on me. You made a bold claim, back it up.

He 100% did

The issue is that Kentucky and Duke are doing the same thing and they aren’t a part of a witch hunt

They weren’t dumb enough to talk about it on the phone. At least try to hide it.

If WW is going down, I hope he calls a press conference and takes the entire NCAA down. His coaching career would be over, but at this point maybe it would be worth it to him.

That's my only issue. We all knew Wade was throwing cash around. He was the only one dumb enough to make the calls himself. He wasn't out-bidding air. Every school involved in those recruitments had offers on the table.

Even better, they weren’t dumb enough for the head coach to be talking about it on the phone. Too many slimeballs in CBB to not be able to find a guy willing to take assistant pay and take the fall if needed.

I'm not going to be naive here. With all of this smoke, Will Wade probably did pay for players. But to act like he's some rogue actor who's tarnishing the sanctity of college basketball is just nonsense. Funny how the allegations of impermissible benefits to Zion were protected under court order. There is an agenda here and I'm tired of the corrupt system that is college athletics.

Head coaches should be out of the loop on this stuff. We all know it happens, the smart ones have bag men who do the dirty work.

If that were true, Wade would’ve been fired forever ago.

It seems that is still very much a possibility given the recent reports.

at least 11 potential recruits or others around them

This is the biggest bomb to me in the article. KU got hit for 4-5 players, Arizona for 1-2. 11? That seems like a pretty high number to throw out unless they have some sort of evidence.

Every major team is doing this, but having information about payments to 11 guys is more than any other team has been tied to.
