I have been a season ticket holder since 1988. I have had many great experiences with the family around and in the stadium. I live 4 hours away. The stadium experience seems to have lost all the personal interaction for the grandkids compared to when we brought the kids up there. Concessions, Traffic, and Baton Rouge in general have really let us down. Need a reason to keep the tickets. Blast away.

If you sit in section 214, please give them up... I want to pick up some more near me.

You leave em, you not getting them back provided you're a major donor. Then you wouldn't even care about the money so you're likely a regular guy.

I'd just sell them every year for face value.

I keep them to support LSU...and when I can't attend games, I like giving them away to users that really want to go to a game.

Ultimately, living out of state, it doesn't make sense for me to have season tickets, but I consider it a donation to LSU Athletics...

Once being a Tiger fan becomes an inconvenience, why bother?

Can't argue with your reasons. Being that I'm younger even I realize the gameday experience isn't the same as it was just even 10-15 years ago. LSU has destroyed a lot of the experience and imo, we definitely tumbled down the list of SEC fan support. LSU fans only really show up under special circumstances now. It's far less consistent than it was in the past. Some of this is for reasons that can be controlled and other reasons that can't be controlled.

The scools now vie tailgating as a nuisance. It does not add to the bottom line. The TV money is so insane it doesn’t matter if they sell tickets or not. They want to see tailgating go the way of the Dodo bird. That’s the unvarnished truth.

I did the same thing, for the same reasons as you. I had some really good seats. It just got to where the Baton Rouge traffic and congestion, and gameday/stadium experiences sucked so bad that it just wasn't worth it anymore. I swear, it seems like LSU is doing their best to prevent fans from having a good experience. I just watch from the couch now. And save a hell of a lot of time and money.

Like a time share. It doesn’t make financial sense. With just a couple exceptions per season, you can now get tickets for less on the secondary market.

That said, I keep mine because I like the consistent location and it helps LSU (I think).

None. 12 to 8 to 4 to zero.
No reason unless you want to sit next to same people. None.
Never looked back.
Got sick of paying $500 for parking with none available, loss > 15 yr tailgating spot and commercialized flashing lights with piped in music.

When I hit 30 a few years ago my desire to go to LSU and Saints games evaporated overnight. I used to have season tickets for both. I’m sure some will say “wElL yOu ArEnT a TrUe Fan.”

But the bottom line is that it’s way more comfortable and convenient to cook at home, invite some friends, and drink in the backyard. I have no patience for sloppy drunks, $20 hamburgers, $10 beers, and nightmarish traffic.
