Remember the Alamo/Uh Stoneybrook!

I made the mistake of packing my bags for Omaha when all we had to do was beat Stoneybrook! Unpacked them again last year! Won't make that mistake again this year and take anything for granted. Hope the team is focused.

Had a niece get married two years ago when we did make it to Omaha. Had my bags packed to leave if they one just one at CWS. Unpacked again. I'm trying to run from the black cloud that is following me where trips to Omaha are concerned!

Stony Brook was legit. looking back, they were probably the best four seed in decades.

Fresno St. was a 4 seed and won the national championship. Stony Brook went 0-2 at the CWS and was beaten badly in both games

Yea, I recall that team. Fresno got hot at the right time and I was pulling for them. Still believe the 2012 Stony Brook team was better despite their lack of CWS success.

Yea, I remember the Stony Brook meltdown. I was never so pissed about an LSU team. Not taking away from them, because they were good and played with poise. They could have easily cashed it in after LSU stole that first game from them in the series, because SB had clearly outplayed LSU, but to come back and not only take two from LSU, but to dominate them in Alex Box showed real guts. But after going to Omaha and collapsing makes me wonder if it was not more of a collapse of LSU. It can be said that they had the CWS jitters, but after what they did in Baton Rouge, I aint buyin it.
