It was definitely interference in our game, but did you really think Birmingham was gonna over turn that for us against Bama?

It took them like 2 seconds to review it. They probably didn't even look at it.

So this is the excuse of us missing the post season now?

I don't think anyone said that.

I could be wrong, but I think the Alabama runner got back in the runner's lane. This guy never did.

Actually he never did. Frame by frame shows he was still outside the lane a step or two from the base.

BS. Not interference at all. Routine run to first and bad throw. Nonsense call.

The ball got there before the runner. There was no interference.

A poster yesterday stated the first baseman used poor fundamentals by using his left foot on the base. He was right . He could have stretched and made the catch to end the game which would have made the argument moot. The poster was right..

It’s like when they made up the pass interference exception during the auburn game in ~2006

He was wrong then, and you are wrong now. It’s obvious that the first baseman, in that situation, has to present a target well to the inside of the first base line. That is the only way to get an unobstructed throw from the catcher to the first baseman. And to do that the first baseman needs to have his left foot on the bag. Use your head. If he had his right foot on the bag he’d have had his back to the catcher as he stretched to the inside of the line.

I don't disagree if the ball was right in front of the plate, but this throw cam from the middle of the diamond and was essentially the same angle as a throw from a third baseman on a bunt or slow chopper, albeit from closer in and the correct positioning is with the right foot for a right handed first baseman to allow for maximum flexibility and stretch radius.
