I am continuing my quest to post the dimensions of each baseball field when LSU plays away for those interested. I do often get my info from Wikipedia, which can be erroneous at times, so please feel free to correct me so that I may correct any errors in my post.

Sewell-Thomas Stadium (Alabama)

Foul Lines 320
Power Alleys 360
Center 390
Height of Fence 8ft RF, 10ft CF, LF

Natural grass infield
Natural grass outfield

Alex Box

Foul Lines: 330 ft.
Power Alleys: 365 ft.

Center: 405 ft.
Height of Fence: 10 ft.
Height of Batters’ Eye: 30 ft

Natural grass infield
Natural grass outfield

It should be noted that while we always discuss how small the Tennessee field is, Alabama has the same dimensions other than the fence heights. Right field looks ripe for our guys who have opposite field power (White specifically) and for our left-handed batters (Larson, Brown, Pearson, Neal) and our monster switch hitter (Milam). The only question is can we take advantage of that, I'm sure their pitchers may have something to say about it as well.

Likely overlooked by us because Alabama baseball fans don't trot around like they are God's gift to college baseball, without ANY hardware

Well Bama pitchers have been getting their cheeks clapped by SEC hitting all season. Over a 7.00 ERA in conference. If ever there was a series where we needed to crush bad pitching, it’s this one.

Don't forget the shitty brick wall behind home plate that gives the home viewer the impression that every pitch is taking place in a parking lot next to a class building.

Thanks, Fred, I had not looked at those numbers yet. You are correct in your assessment here, Bats need to show up.

For one, Travinksi's ball last Friday wouldn't have been disputed at Bama.

Good for them. I think turf on a SEC baseball field should be illegal.

Agreed. Save that shite for Brix and Cash to play their travel ball games on.

Thanks man. I did not look at numbers before I posted. Getting ready to head to Alabama but not for the game, for Orange Beach. Family Vacay.

I like Orange Beach/Gulf Shores OK but not nearly as much as I like St George Island in Florida. The family whines about the long drive, though so I compromised this year.

I'll be watching/listening from the beach/condo and commenting if I can.

54 (61%) of those coming from White, Jones, Trav. Hopefully the shallower field will allow for a few more hard hit balls (for us) to leave the park this weekend.

Neal has the chance to get to double digits in the HR column this weekend currently sitting with 9.

Is Alex Box not 10 feet the whole length of the outfield?
