Jesse Palmer said not only could Lee manage LSU to the BCS game, but will make the needed plays at a critical time

That will be another great story in the annals of Tiger football

Is that an actual nickname that he uses or just the latest attempt by posters on here to get a nickname started?

Cause it's almost as bad as Honey Badger. Not quite, but almost.

Oh and to Jarret Lee -

This is one of my favorite things about Lee. He owns his poor plays and never makes excuses. He is quite a competitor in my opinion.

If he can get to where he is playing without apprehension, he will have a great season.

Examples? Sounds like out-of-arse-talking.

He really played well tonight and he has earned some confidence from LSU fans and coaches. Set him loose and this team could really put up some points from here on out.

Guess you were not around during his infamous freshman season. Never made an excuse. Took credit for the pick sixes, even those that bounced off the hands of his receivers.

very happy for "The General." Nice to see good things happen to a guy who stuck it out through some tough times. Congrats

I don't hear a lot of athletes making public excuses, particularly when there aren't any plausible excuses, as in Lee's case.

Who are some quarterbacks who make excuses? I am not buying it.

But yeah, I was around for his freshman season.

The ESPN announcers had some really good things to say about Lee and now I think the whole nation is going to recognize that LSU has a really good quarterback. Lee is a great testament to perserverance and I think he is a person of great character. We need these kind of people in leadership positions to win our fourth national championship. Great job Jarrett!

Thanks for believing in the tigers and sticking it out. You do deserve to reap the benefits for being a well spoken young man. This alone will take you far. Tiger Nation appreciates YOU
