That was one of their last pitchers out the pen. He has a 9 ERA and walked the previous batter and was down 3-1 in the count, I wouldn’t say he had “the stuff”

That last pitch was nice, but the point is he shouldn’t have even been in that situation, swung at 2 balls out the zone if I’m remembering correctly. The game was blown in that AB imo, I rest my case

The first pitch was a strike. He tried to ambush a FB & buddy threw a slider or something

But yea. Definitely was huge AB.

So the game wasn’t blown when we gave up 5 earned runs in the first? Where do you people come from?

None of the players have good hitting discipline. Heavy hitters tend to be worse because they will take more chances. That being said, among starters, Travinski is:
3rd in average
Tied for 2nd in RBIs
3rd in slugging percentage
3rd in OBP
Tied for 2nd in walks

Tommy, Trav and Bear all take bad hacks at balls. It's on Jay and the hitting coach to reel them in to make sure they play situational baseball.

This is a terrible take, and the fact you got so many upvotes proves the rant really is full of rantards.

You have freshman on the team like Larson and Milam who’s plate discipline is 10x that of a 4th year veteran.

We must be watching different games, Milam is going to be a good player and kind of already is, but plate discipline isnt his strong suit

Seeing some of these posts it is clear that 99% of you never got up to bat past freshmen year in HS.

You make a good point. Why are veterans regressing? Milazzo is the exception, I still don’t understand why he was sitting half the year with the sub par defense behind plate and no production at the plate from other 2 catchers.
