Hopefully he doesn’t fumble his transfer letter on the way out

To be honest, I thought he had already moved on in some form.

didn't expect him to be eligible for another season, but hate to see him go. always will wonder what if he never got injured and made good grades. he could've been truly one of the great LSU rbs

Thank you for everything John, despite the ups and downs i’ll always remember the catch and run TD against Bama in 2022.

I had a weird dream about John Emery last night actually. He was on special teams and made a tackle and starting doing the arms out like wings running celebration, slipped on the sideline, and tore his ACL.

I don’t even know why I dreamt of him.

Anyway I hope he finds somewhere that he can play and play a lot. He’s a good back he could just never find a rhythm here for some reason.

The Auburn TD stands out too. Always showed flashes of the skill..never could put it together consistently

This is odd. I know they took his measurables and participated (to whatever extent he was able) at the LSU pro day. I assumed he had declared for the draft.

How many times did you fumble while playing at LSU?? Serious question because maybe you can give him some advice for wherever he ends up next

Cryer wasn’t going to see the field fast enough for his liking

Emery should transferto a place where he can actually play, like McNeese or Tulane

Indeed 2024-2025 will be his 6th year as you stated. You subtract the COVID year, a redshirt year when he was essentially academic ineligible, and a medical redshirt year, and I guess the case is made that he only played 3 years so far.

Emery will always be one of those "what ifs"

Kid couldn't stay healthy to save his life and had his other issues where he couldn't stay eligible. Then he put on some bad weight, then got injured again.

He always flashed pretty well when he could stay on the field.
