THIS is how athletes can show that Black Lives Matter. By caring about black lives. Shop all the shouting and lecturing (and burning and looting) and actually do something.

And there's a good chance they never will. Ain't no snitching in the hood.
That's why I roll my eyes at the "no justice, no peace" chants. You could get expontially more justice for black victims and their families if witnesses would talk to police than by any police brutality measures you can name.

Qualified immunity, war on drugs, mandatory minimum... there’s a lot of things that need to change and these are at the top of the list

I agree, but change is most needed in the community itself.

He's doing a lot more to help those kids stay off the streets than just paying for this kid's funeral.
Eh. I see a whole lot more “muh police are killin‘ us” on his Twitter than what you are referring to.
Until people in his unique position shine light on the real issues that are taking black lives, the rest of it is just celebrity pandering.

What have you done?

Why would I as a white person assume that I could do anything to solve problems within a community I don’t belong to? That sort of thinking is a pretentious form of white supremacy.

Im referring to what have you done for your community
Someone posts an article about how Tyrann did something kind for people in his community.
You then chose to shite on what he did saying its not enough.
When told that he has done more for his community you continue to shite on him because of his twitter posts.
So im curious if you have done more for your community than he has done for his?
He's trying to make a difference in his poor community.
I'll admit that there are people in my community that probably need help and I could do more.
So since you disapprove of what he has done for his community, what, in comparison to what you have done for your community, should he do more of?

Yeah, you're a gigantic fricking douche.
And you undoubtedly feel great about yourself for “liking” a post about a black athlete paying for a black child’s funeral while remaining silent about the circumstances which lead to that child’s death.
But don’t worry. There will certainly be other deaths and funerals paid for by your football heroes that you will get to fawn over with your lily white virtue.

Actions speak louder than words. Especially a lot of today's words...

Police just need to adopt a new stance. Snitches with stitches get more stitches.

He's been investing money into the inner-city community in New Orleans long before BLM has ever been a thing or police shooting sky screaming was en vogue
Stop being a douche, as hard as that may be for you

Great Gesture but if he wants to TRULY make a difference then he needs to speak out against violence in the same way he did against Brees. Take to the streets and organize protest calling for an end to the violence. Putting $$ out there is fine but take just as strong a stance for black on black violence as you did when Floyd was killed.

That would be excellent if insufficient funding was the problem.

Desert Klansman would be a more fitting name for you

So I guess you have chosen to continue to be a douche bag. Nice

I’m terribly sorry to interrupt your “Attaboy honeybadger” virtue signaling towards a black child’s murder with actual reflection. By all means, carry on.

what actual reflection have you provided?
Just google "Tyrann Mathieu charity." It has nothing to do with virtue signaling (nice buzz word, btw). Throughout his career, the guy has been involved more giving back and helping communities more than most athletes, yet you have chosen to say "meh, what he's doing doesn't matter." That makes you an a-hole, sorry
