How many games in 19 did the opponent take away Chase and Jefferson so Marshall had to step up big? I can’t recall a single one. Not that Marshall didn’t have good games but they never took away both Chase and Jefferson.

You might forget how much Marshall was the guy in a lot of games. He was our Chris Carter

I don't think Alabama can take away both Nabers and Thomas; but if they take one away, you need Lacy or Hilton to step up.

UGA held Chase to 3 catches for 41 yds (1 TD). Jefferson had 7 for 115, including that big scramble throw highlight. They held Clyde to 57 yds rushing and no scores.
Marshall had 5 for 89 and 2 TD that game. Clyde also caught 7 passes for 61 yds.

Take away the improbable scramble throw (71 yds to Jefferson), and UGA holds both Chase and Jefferson under 50 yds that game. We scored 31, so take that down to 24 (say we don't score a TD on that possession).

Several things jump out at that scenario:
LSU needed a big impromptu play, something Daniels CAN do.
One of LSU's WR starters had a game: Jefferson had 7 catches, so even without his big catch he was consistent in catching. *I'd say Nabers might be the guy, if we need 6+ catches.
The RB was a big factor in receiving; Clyde had 7. Again, that moves the chains. Now our TE only had 2, so if Taylor has a good game and Diggs/Emery/Williams has a few catches, that balances out.

I don't guess anyone else has notice how Lacy has gained confidence lately. He's looked really good the last two games.

I'm sure Trey will get some garbage carries late in the fourth when the game is out of reach for Bama.

Kool aid was getting worked by Worthy I’m sure Nabers will be fine and Thomas will make big plays, but yea Lacy will have to get it going with no drops

People acting like that was an easy catch is hilarious.

Especially considering the OM CB hit Hiltons left arm/hand right b4 the ball got there, should've been PI but you’re never getn that call, esp on the road in the SEC.

I'd rather Hilton at WR #3 than Lacy. Lacy is going to drop the ball in the worst possible situation inevitably.

That’s what you stupid motherfrickers said about Brandon LaFell. Then he went on to greatness.

It looks like what I said the other day is true after all even though I got shite on for it. We need a legitimate WR 3 to step up in order to complete our offense and make it truly unstoppable. It would definitely help us against Bama.

Kaleb Jackson = Dalton Hilliard

Nothing alike.

Hilliard was way slower and smaller. But no one could one-cut like Hilliard.
