The big guys that give the big money get to name drop about the time they played golf with Brian Kelly and Scott Woodward and about how they got to watch practice the day before the SEC Championship game.

Not much at LSU. I am sure other programs do things for them.

Access a tiny bit of say and this is their hobby.
What do people get out of golfing
I mean… if I was rich as shite I would spend that money on something that directly effects my mood 4 months out of the year

I would think the NIL/transfer portal bs going on these days will test their willingness to keep throwing their money around.
This. TAF can be a tax deduction if you itemize. Bayou Traditions cannot.

It's a business expense for them, but fans contributing to Bayou Traditions get nothing. It's like contributing to a political candidate.

Let's say you win the lottery. You have 500 million dollars. What are you going to do with it?
Buy a bunch of land on a river and fish all day every day. Dang sure wouldn’t give it to any athletics program.

It’s a hobby. Just like if you hunt and buy a side by side or lease a better piece of property or buy a nice center console so you can catch a limit of trout and redfish.
The more you get involved the more you are willing to “invest”. Hopefully you buy in to the preposition that the more invested equals better results. The more money you have the better lease or boat you have. That’s what this is all about. It’s simple.

I’ll tell you what I’d do, man. Two chicks at the same time "
Something's telling me you're going to miss out on some great things in life.

NFL teams don’t have boosters paying for their players. They have owners and revenue for this.
The NFL controls their expenses better… but the 1% or so owners of the teams are absolutely the same thing as college boosters

Not giving it to a motherfrickin 18 year old that’s for damn sure. The government would already have taken and wasted at least a third of it on dumb bullshite, why allow some idiot kid access to it?

Ego boost, maybe rub elbows with some coaches, promises of good seats to post season games, etc.
Honestly, not worth it.
