My pawpaw grew up in Magnolia, MS and in the mid 1950s, he got a scholarship to play running back for Tulane. In his senior year, he tore his acl and Tulane pulled his scholarship. He ended up going to LSU only an hour and a half away, graduated in accounting, and he was very successful in life. He was the biggest LSU fan that I knew and if he didn’t tear his acl, my whole family would probably be Tulane fans. I can’t even fathom the thought of that lol. Because of him, my family and I are die hard LSU fans.

My older brother signed with LSU out of high school. I became a fan DURING the Curly Hallman years. I know I am a rare breed, lol.

I was already an LSU fan, but my stepmom absolutely hated LSU because I got excited when the game was on TV and liked to hum the fight song going places and shite like that, so she'd forbid me from watching the game at all when I was at my dad's with her there. I was 8,9,10 keep in mind. That just made me a bigger fan and my mom took it upon herself to bring me to every game we could make because she knew what was going on. Went to every home game other than Western Carolina in 03 and went to the natty in the dome. Bled P&G since I was little, always will.

My grandpa played CFB at cal Berkeley but his best friend lollipop was some kind of radio or tv personality for LSU. I remember eating gumbo and the LSU game on tv at my grandpas house with lolli and his thick Cajun accent

I chose to attend LSU instead of close-by Nicholls.

Grandparents both went to LSU and met and got married, had my mom and her siblings.

Mom and Dad went to LSU and met and had premarital sex as freshmen and had me, they never got married but still both somehow graduated and married different people afterward

I went to LSU and fricked (ir)responsibly and got lucky and graduated with no children until the first one I'm now expecting next year with my Southeastern grad of a wife

Point is it was passed down to me

My father was a professor at LSU for 40 years. I grew up close to campus and went to many games as a yout.

I have many hours as a LSU student but graduated Pharmacy at Ole Miss. I found out how much those step children hate LSU. I was enrolled in Oxford for the 2003 Eli on his arse/ championship season. It was great!

I think most of us is being born in BR or around BR. Grew up with generations ahead of me as lsu fans, so it was just kind of understood

I knew nothing about LSU and randomly picked to play a season as them on NCAA Football 2002. I thought, "Wow, those uniforms are amazing! Wow, that stadium is really unique!" I started following them in real life and the next year they won the national title and I've been a die hard ever since.
