Football is the moneymaker in the SEC, unless you’re Kentucky. You’re not very bright.

LSU could very well have a good basketball program. The last few years have proven that they could at worst be a perennial tourney team. I’m not sure facilities are the issue either because talent wise they weren’t exactly hurting for recruits.

I was told yesterday they’ve hired Populous which is an architecture firm to start plans on the new basketball facilities and to make decisions on the PMAC.

Exactly

Now it should be pointed out that this “talent” was being paid quite well to come here but I think we all know kids get paid under the table to play.

Question I have is Does lsu need to pay more than say…. Auburn or Arkansas?

The money should be funneled through the shoe companies that have sponsored and paid these kids from the time they were in AAU. That’s how the big schools do it. Our boosters and people within the program should stay out of it.
