Haven’t had a chance to rewatch the game yet, but in the stadium it looked like he was just putting the ball in perfect locations and their receivers were catching everything. Seemed like he just played way above anything he had done leading up to this game. Was that all true or did I miss something else that helped him out?

maybe because he's good. He looked pretty good against auburn as well.

Yes. Much better than anyone expected. Amazing Mullen had him sitting behind Franks

He hit two back shoulder throws in a row that would have made Tom Brady proud, he was on the money.

Their coaching staff is full of pricks but they're good at what they do (it pains me to admit that)

He is a DB but Mullen actually schemed a good game.
Back shoulder / come back routes , quick slants, avoid exposing him to rush as much as possible.

We played him too soft early. I get why (even started a thread about it) but he was comfortable. He had good moments against Auburn, but also made a lot of mistakes and it was because Auburn got to him early and he wasn't comfortable.

He was less comfortable in the second half once we started pressuring him and threw a couple of balls up that could/should/were picked.

The kid is a good young QB...a force to be reckoned with going forward. It's really that simple.

Aranda didn’t bring pressure early enough to rattle him.

There I said it.

Aranda is overrated.

He rarely had consecutive bad plays. That was huge.

As well as the kid played he definitely got very luck on several Tipped passes and a gift call back on 4th QTR pick on an absolute BS roughing call.

Delivered accurate passes on time while executing a good scheme. Simple as that. The game has become us just getting a few key stops to outscore our opponent. Simple as that

We couldn't quite get to him with the defensive looks we were giving him, he threw pretty passes and UF's WRs were catching the ball at night.

Trask made some great throws...he will start over Franks next year, if Franks even
comes back...

We literally advertised to him that we were not going to bring any pressure.

He’s an immobile passer. No threat to beat you running. You have to pressure those guys.

Of course, Mullen is damn good at finding mismatches.

He was good only when Aranda had defense playing "3rd and Chavis" . When LSU played aggressive defense he went backwards.

Why was Trask so good last night?

Because LSU's DB cannot cover man-to-man very well at all. Emery is the only one and he struggled last night, to be expected with a true freshman. But Fulton, he has sucked in man-to-man defense all year. He has basically sucked at everything. This entire defense has under-produced all season. Shelvin has been the one bright spot and the one player that has played above expectations. I made excuses all year for the defense, injuries, youth, and more, but just can't anymore. These players are not playing 100 percent every play, and I wish I knew why.
