Why wear alt grey&white unis on biggest day of gymnastics season?

Congratulations to our national champion Lady Tigers gymnasts, but…
Am I the only one puzzled and put off a bit by the choice to wear grey and white leotards for the natty meet and biggest exposure of the year?
I am surprised there is not a thread about it, or maybe I missed it, didn’t read the live thread during competition- but tRant loves to complain about alt unis or any variety in our athletic attire, and thought it was ODD to say the least to choose to not have even a HINT of purple OR gold visible on a drab white and grey uniform for the flashiest biggest exposure of the year on national TV…???

Well no , Fla was predominately blue-themed; Utah had lots of red- and I’m not complaining or unhappy; I’m just trying to trigger the people that always gripe piss and moan every time the football team wears anything but gold-white-gold traditional combo-
