Would 2012 LSU football have won the SEC if honey badger didn’t get suspended?

Both losses were one possession Games. And even if we lose to Florida, I think we beat Bama because of the emotion in Tiger stadium that night.

They would have had a good chance to win the 2012 national championship and avenge the 2011 disaster

The timeline would have completely changed

Without question think how many times his turnovers or returns helped set up the offense in 2010 & 2011? LSU runs it back undefeated in the regular season in 2012 if he’s active.

He would have been responsible for covering the wheel route against Bama that gave them the win.

This! Dude was a difference maker and had significant impact on the games from both special teams and defense!

100%. Jalen Mills never blitzes on the dump to Yeldon because Tyrann wouldn’t have gotten confused about the defensive call. Still one of the most disappointing finishes I’ve ever witnessed in Tiger Stadium

I thought Sam Montgomery tried to check out of the original defensive call but crowd noise prevented proper communication.

Top 5 most painful loss for me.

YES and if Jarrett Lee wouldn't have been replaced with Les Miles blow up doll, JJ. That team was incredible when Lee was running the show.

He had a solid season, but he completely shite the bed against Bama in the 9 - 6 game. Jefferson is a huge reason why we won that game. I don't know why Les leaned entirely too much on Jefferson after that point (and certainly could have given Lee a shot in the championship game because nothing else was remotely working), but it's disingenuous to claim the team was incredible when Lee ran the show.

Probably win the whole thing with Tyrann

It’s crazy the “personnel issues” on that team

Tyrann - kicked off team
Chris Faulk - torn ACL after game 1 or 2
Alfred Blue - torn ACL a couple games in while averaging 100ypg
Alex Hurst - quits mid season
Williford - career ending concussion mid season
Tahj Jones - academic suspension for regular season
Kwon - breaks in as a freshman starter, then gets hurt for a few games

I feel like there were a couple more as well.

Give me Tyrann, Faulk and Blue and we ain’t losing.

If by disingenuous you mean he was the highest rated passer in the SEC at the time he was demoted, then yes it is disingenuous.

I agree that JJ was critical to winning the game that night. In part because bama had not prepared for the option at all. They were huge in the front seven that year and just could not beat us to the edge.

Turned out differently when Saban had a month to prepare.

He would have been able to score more than 14 points against Florida?

I mean shite JLee deserved a shot against Georgia in the SEC championship when our offense couldn’t do anything prior to the Tyrann PR TD

People keep saying this, but it makes absolutely no sense that they wouldn't prepare for Jordan or the option at all. Jordan returned 4 games before Bama and got time - primarily running the ball - in all 4.

There's no way in hell Saban didn't game plan for him. Especially with a bye week before the game. Come on.
