Is the record number of walks in Yeskie? What is the deal?

LOL....the average baseball fan right here. Yeah, Yeskie is calling pitches for balls! Not saying he's not the problem but this is idiotic.

His staff lead the SEC in walks at A&M last year. There’s something he’s doing that ain’t working.

No it’s not. Pitch calling has been abysmal all year.

This isn’t acceptable. Does CJJ keep him or find someone else in the offseason?

Probably so, but its not him telling them to throw balls.

Yeski is a big Noski when we're talking about being good! A&M is doing better without him is telling!

So as an expert, are you not aware that pitches are often called off the plate?

Of course, but you were making fun of a guy asking if Yeskie is calling balls? The answer is, absolutely he does depending on the count.

So yes, Yeskie does call balls sometimes.

You have to just ignore his entire career to think he’s not a good pitching coach. Congrats.

We are also talking about walks, are you suggesting that Yeskie is calling pitches off the plate with a 3-ball count?

He is probably calling pitches on the corners and low they just can’t hit their spots.

You have to ignore the fact that pitching has evolved significantly just in the last 10 and continues to evolve to think that it’s impossible that Nate Yeskie has digressed as a coach.

Absolutely not, but that wasn’t why I replied. I did so because a baseball “expert” made light of someone asking if Yeskie was intentionally calling balls.

And I replied, yes he does. But of course I would expect the “experts” here to understand I’m talking about 0-1, 0-2 or 1-2 counts.

Are you suggesting that calling pitches off the plate early in counts has no effect on if a batter is walked or not?

Saying that pitch calling has been really bad this year is not saying that he’s calling balls. That’s absolutely moronic.
