What’s your favorite game where LSU didn’t really have much to gain or lose? Like a mediocre/bad season where we played a somewhat neutral or lesser opponent.
The two that stick in my mind are:

2021 vs. Florida where TDP ran the same play like 30 times to break the LSU single game rushing record.

2013 Arkansas when Jennings pulled off the 99 yard drive to win it after Mett tore his ACL.

2012 vs Ole Miss was a fun one. The OBJ punt return for a TD game. Les classic post game presser after too was great

That was early in the season when LSU was still thought of as a legit team.

I forgot about 2012 Ole Miss. Wasn’t that the anniversary of Billy Cannon’s punt return against Ole Miss that was also 89 yards?

It really is crazy how Fournette made Auburn look like a high school defense. Having him and Guice in the same backfield without a really competitive season makes me so pissed at Les Miles.

1999 Arkansas.

LSU (2-8 and 0-7 in the SEC) was a huge underdog to No. 17 Arkansas in the last game of the year.

LSU had already fired Gerry DiNardo. Hal Hunter was in his only game as acting head coach.

LSU stunned Arkansas 35-10 in Tiger Stadium.

Might be recency bias but 2020 Ole Miss was fun. Boutte broke the single game SEC receiving record. Needed 6 turnovers to win by 5. JaCoby Stevens sealed the win with a fumble recovery for his final play of his LSU career.

I wanted to post this, but it seems like OP is looking for games where we were mid/bad playing against another mid/bad team. So huge upsets like that and the Bama Pigs Fly game don't really qualify. At least from my interpretation.

I was piss drunk at Legend’s in New York watching, and I thought Jennings was gonna be the truth.

We also had Darrel Williams, the only one of those three still in the NFL, in that backfield as well. Amazing how much shite play calling can make talent irrelevant.

Now to answer the question of this thread, 2017 Auburn was hilarious. 20 point comeback a few weeks after losing to Troy to keep AU out of the CFP. Only downside to this game was that we gifted Bama another mulligan natty.
