I've been planning to look into refinancing my mortgage. Called a couple of people at lunch and left a message for them to get back with me. We're 3 years into a 30 year on our "forever home" at 4.0%. Getting down to 3.125% would be great.

Got 3.25% if lock in today. Would it be best to float the market and wait for lower interest rate?

About to lock-in a 15 year, quoted as low as 2.35%. Might do 2.5 or 2.75 to reduce the closing cost bill.

Im on bankrate, i see nothing under 3%.

I'm going to be getting a mortgage in June/July, hoping for 2.5% or less.

I locked at 2.875 % approximately 5 or 6 years ago on a 15-year loan, didn't think I'd see anything lower --- and haven't, until now.
Free money everyone!

Doing 10/1 ARMs as low as 2.375-2.5% this morning. Curious if we see the 10 year treasury drop below 1% mark. It was flirting with it early this morning.

Where are you seeing 2.5%?

Hmmmm...
I would be doing a refinance on this house in 5 years or less when the addition is done.

Just got a quote for 15 yr at 3.0%

Dude that's nuts. Where do you work? We were at 4.08% for 30 year fixed and 3.46% for 15 year fixed two weeks ago. The MBA reported an average of 3.81% and 3.23%.
We set an all time high lock day on Friday and were going to beat it again today by a huge margin.

I closed last July with 4%. I would refi now with 3.125% if someone offered it.

Yea === where is 2.5% on 15 years????? Possibly interested.

I got a quote for 3.25 on a cash out refi for 30y and 4.75 on a commercial 5y.
I dont know if that cash out refi would get lower but if the feds cut rates maybe that commercial one will. Anyone hear anything more on a possible rate cut?
