I was a cord cutter back in 2015. Longtime DirecTV customer but after AT&T bought them, it went to shite.

I think these sports leagues would make more money if they just made their own app and started their own networks. I mean make more money in the long run. I hate the term “grow the sport”. I have heard that shite for 10 years watching Supercross. They cater so much to casuals that they have stymied it. Leagues need to embrace their niche and be unique and cater to the hardcores.

Anyways, I am not going down that path. And I’m not alone. Many that do will cancel in a year or two. Eventually the leagues will get less money for their sport meaning less money to pay players and so on.

Yeah, this ain't happening.

Im probably going to drop out of my NASCAR fantasy league after this season. I have no idea who half the drivers are anymore.

And you have to pay for cable just like you have to pay for streamers, like nvasil mentioned above.

Yes. And my cable bill is less than pay site bills when added up. I also get all the other channels as well. Plus it has my high speed internet. $220/month. One bill vice several. DVR to record so much I could never watch it all.

Some silly season tidbits I heard on DBC

Kaulig and Trackhouse merge.
Stewart-haas may be selling the entire team. SHR may not exist.
Custer to Front Row
Briscoe to wood brothers with Ford support
Gragson is in HIGH demand
Nothing on Berry or Preece

This makes sense. Neither Haas or Tony want to be in Nascar, its shown by their performance the past few years too.

Cam Waters to RFK 60 for Sonoma. I'm excited to watch him. Might be another guy to follow SVG in the coming years.

Interesting that one of the crown jewel races, which occurs on the biggest auto racing weekend of the year, will be streaming only.

Maybe it is. All these young guys look the same to me, like they come off an assembly line somewhere.

Its usually a boring race, was always an endurance one. Also fights weather many years.

Holiday weekend, I’ll have F1 and Indy to watch next year and afterwards can do many other things. Won’t be a big deal to skip it and any others on Prime. Can use social media to keep up with whats going on while at parties.

Would love to see NASCAR run a mid summer road course group of races. Mash all the road courses schedule together.

With all the Aussie/Kiwis coming over NASCAR and V8s need to figure out how to do a crossover event. Make a weekend out of it.

So espn or someone used to telecast Aussie V8 races. Can’t find them anymore. Anyone know what happened? They used to put on great races

I thought NASCAR should have an entire road racing series, maybe a dozen races or so, that some of the road racing teams could get into, and get their toes into NASCAR racing.

Also, they should have a trophy for the driver with the most total points on road courses. Call it the Dan Gurney Award.
