Amateur kid last year that lit up the futures events. As you can see, the kid is fast

Kid had a solid first race. Think his tank started drying up at the end

Jett is a legend in the making. Dude is unreal.

I have nothing against Jett but I really hope it is not a season like motocross. Him running away with every race is not entertaining.

A night that met virtually all expectations:
Vincent Friese doing Friese-like things causing the first turn carnage that took out Hunter and Sexton in the heat…then again causing Mookie and Roczen to go down in the main.
Jason Anderson doing Anderson-like things and getting a lil’ dirty with the Webb re-pass right after Webb put a very cordial pass on him moments just prior…manufacturing grudges in the opening round that may bite him in the arse later.
Chase Sexton doing Sexton-like things and almost throwing his race away on an unforced error just when it looked like his sights were set on Webb and Anderson.
Eli Tomac doing Tomac-like things and with an uninspired mid-pack ride after things didn’t go his way early.
Jorge Prado doing European-like things with a mediocre Supercross ride by an MXGP Champion.
Ken Roczen doing Roczen-like things by lighting it up in the heat race only to fizzle out in the main (thanks again, Friese).
Malcolm Stewart doing Mookie-like things by getting our hopes up last season only to disappoint us yet again (thanks again and again, Friese).
And Jett Lawrence doing Jett-like things by, well, winning in spectacular fashion and breaking records.

That was a hard track to pass on last night if guys of equal speed are trying to pass another (Webb/Anderson).
Webb started to push Anderson 5-7 minutes into the race. If Webb gets by there, I think he pushes Jett to the finish. Does he win? Probably not because of how hard it is to pass, but Webb is the one guy I don’t bet against with 2-3 laps left and being on a guys butt.

I read that the goal at KTM is to turn Sexton into Dungey with top end speed.

It’s good to see Webb fast and motivated again. Love Jett but I want to see some guys push him so we have an exciting season to watch. Can’t stand Webb but every hero needs a villain. I thought Webb was washed up after last season, but if Anaheim is any indicator, he’s back on his game on the new bike. Though Anaheim is often a fluke.

I thought it was a great track I think Jet did set the stage, This week in San Fran its got some huge long straights I liked Anaheims Track San Fran looks a little faster. The first race didn't disappoint, the 250 LCQ was great. Over all Great evening of racing. I missed Carmichael calling the race, hope he is back this week.

Jett’s gonna get pushed and beat on a little before it’s over. I find it hard to believe he’s gonna get top 3 starts all year. He’s already shown with Hombre that he’ll run it in pretty hard so the gloves have already kind of hit the floor and any sign of weakness those dudes are gonna try to rattle his cage. He’s got more to lose than anybody else in the field by starting shite right now in my opinion and any excuse to smash on him they’ll take it to knock him down a notch
Should be a fun year if everybody stays healthy

Another thought is if Jett finds another Stewable it’s doubtful he busts it out in qualifying practice. He broke out one this race and they changed it’s up to take it away. As we saw in the Coliseum the kids brain is wired different than most, he’ll learn to hold his cards and that’s might be a bad thing for the field. Or, it could land him in the hospital

Looks like it's going to be a muddy one tonight in SF
Posted on 1/13/24 at 6:02 pm to mx886
Yeah Mud. Frick all that, I’ll check it out tomorrow. Hopefully the dudes survive and don’t get hosed too bad on points. That’s shites fitting for GNCC or hare scrambles not supercross, if I had tickets I’d be pretty disappointed
