Louisville has had three 20-loss seasons in its 112-year history of the program. Kenny Payne is now responsible for 2 of those. The absolute worst hire in the history of sports

Louisville Sports Live @LvilleSprtsLive
Under Kenny Payne, Louisville basketball is:
12-49 overall
5-33 vs. the ACC
1-27 in road/neutral site games
Guaranteed to lose at least 50 games over a two season span

quote:

Kelly Dickey @RealCardGame
Louisville has locked up the No. 15 seed in the ACC Tournament and will play the No. 10 seed at 4:30 p.m. March 12 on ACCN.

Courier Journal Cards HQ @CardsHQ_CJ
#Louisville clinches second-worst year in modern program history with 21st loss

quote:

Mike Rutherford @CardChronicle
Alone in dead last in the ACC in back-to-back seasons.

An absolute fricking embarrassment.

quote:

Tyler Greever @Tyler_Greever
No other way to put it, so just being blunt: This is an embarrassing effort from Louisville men’s basketball. And that is saying something when you consider the body of work over the past two seasons.

Well technically they could run the table.

80-64 losers to Virginia Tech tonight. VT’s second road win of the season. End the Payne!

Louisville doubled their win total this year. That’s progress.

Cronin would be no better than Chris Mack. I hope he's not on the radar

I was surprised when I read those were the names being floated. Beard or nothing should be the goal.

Remarkable that one man could have a program like Louisville in this position. With that said, NIL and the portal can expedite a rebuild with the right coach on a pretty quick timeline

Boston College comes into the Yum Center and wins their 4th straight over Louisville. I think it's over tomorrow

Tough scene at the end. A couple of hecklers, and a lot of disappointment in the KFC Yum! Center.

Personally I feel for Kenny. I really thought he would be a good coach. Had no idea he was the basketball version of joker Phillips.

Beard is ready, so take comfort in that. He can fix things in a hurry.

Louisville will wade through these trials and tribulations and come out stronger on the other side as a program.

I’ve always kinda liked Cronin. Former Pitino asst at Louisville, coached at Murray State. Rebuilt Cincinnati from scratch pre-portal in his 30s.
