loved TD, he was my favorite player. But he’s in on postseason dominance. If he wasn’t so freaking dominant during those SB runs he’s not in.

Terrell Davis is in because he had 3 years in a row where he was the best running back in the league and had a career ending injury that cut off his prime.

Plunkett is a worse HOF candidate than Eli honestly. Eli is roughly on par with Boom Esiason to me and behind Ken Anderson when it comes to QBs and HoF considerations.

Absolutely.

2 rings.

Is there a 2 time sub winner not in?

New York.

Yes. He was a better playoff performer than his brother.

Better than Elway across the board
How did Elway stack up against his peers?

In his prime, Eli was an entire Tier - in some years 2 Tiers - away from his elite peers

He’s not even a great of his era. He doesn't belong at all

Nope, the hall of fame should be reserved for the truly great, if one has to pause and think for even a second the answer should be no. Like Peyton Manning, yes, no one would hesitate, Eli "uh well he..." No

I can, I highly value what a player was like at their very best, longevity has value, but I value guys who we watched and said "woah" even if it was for a shorter period of time

And yet Kurt Warner came off the bench to win a SB just like Plunkett. Warner had 4 disastrous years like Plunkett. Warner has 1 SB title, Plunkett has 2.

Yet Warner is the one in the Hall of Fame. Makes sense by how we think as a culture today. What happened 5 minutes ago is the best.

HOF is about sum total of your career, not just Super Bowls
Kurt Warner won two NFL MVPs
He went to three SBs, with two different teams
His season totals included a league-leading and career-high 4,830 yards and 36 touchdowns to post a 101.4 passer rating.
Warner was named first-team All-Pro twice and selected to four Pro Bowls, Warner racked up 32,344 career yards, threw 208 touchdowns and recorded a 93.7 career passer rating.

Warner was without a doubt the best QB in the league at one time, the same can't be said about Eli in any year.

Watched him his entire career as a Giants Fan.

Eli Manning was an average QB over his career -- maybe even one that under-performed. But he could be streaky-spectacular for short stretches.

The Case

On the basis of Eli's leadership and two unlikely epic accomplishments, he's absolutely earned a HoF membership.

Eli Manning took two different 9-7 Giants teams and engineered are not one but TWO Super Bowl runs.

His Giants scored both SB victories over the dynasty-bound New England Patriots -- including the one over that un-defeated juggernaut.

2007: Eli-led G-Men rolled over Favre's Packers in near-Zero degree weather, then took out Romo's best Cowboys teams IN Big D. (BOTH WINS ON THE ROAD)

2011: Manning completely picked apart Aaron Rodgers 15-1 Pack, demolishing them IN Green Bay -- then scored on and beat one of the best NFC defenses in the last 30 years: The SF 49's (ALSO BOTH WINS ON THE ROAD).

Both runs defied reason. Statistically, the Giants had no better than just above average teams during both runs. Team peaked, but gotta credit the QB, Eli Manning.

Elway was around the 5-10 range against his peers

If Terrell Davis is in based on his postseason performances
Terrell Davis's postseason performances are like the best all time for a RB to go along with an almost otherworldly peak(albeit a short one)

Eli was a mediocre to at rare times a top 6-9 QB in the league over his long career.

Easy, 100% he will get in. May not deserve to get in though.
