Not a bad overall conference.

Agreed, with the exception of UTSA, who seems to be quickly jumping up the ladder. They might be biting off more than they can chew in that respect. Should be interesting to see how that conference turns out.

Great for la tech. 15 years ago tech was a program on the rise, hopefully a move to conference USA could allow them to start back up on the rise. No tv market and poor fan support are there two biggest problems.

What a terrible week for tulane .. If you thought playing la tech, north Texas, utsa, uncc, and odu was a terrible conference schedule at the brand new on campus stadium - in light of yesterdays city council vote - just think about that line up at the super dome

The only thing worse for Tulane is going to be the scores to those games.

I really hope they can become decent again though. I would love to have a big rivalry game with Tulane.

Your right .. Until Tech actually beats Tulane - there is no rivalry.

BOOM BITCHES

It will be difficult now for tulane to get decent again ... After this conference announcement I personally know a few big time donors that are done with supporting the athletic department ... If I know a few I am sure that there are hundreds more and the program can not afford to lose that many big money supporters. Not many people are going to support this kind of schedule ..

I will place a bet here that UNO will have a more competitive football team that Tulane in 15 years.

They need to increase their giving now. Tulane was being mentioned for the Big East a couple of months ago. If they can get some interest in the program (increase attendance to about 30,000 a game) they are in an ideal spot to move up.
