Weird thread

The quality of the goal posts, turf, and walls versus the other home venues in the new AFL reminds me of Coach Michael Desormeaux compared to the rest of his Sun Belt peers.

In a perfect world, Blackham gets demolished and we would build a new 6,000 seat basketball arena in its place.

Put whatever funds the city is going to put towards a new performing arts center, gut the Cajundome and redesign it for that purpose.

Or we can just randomly have rodeos and AFL teams.

The Arena Football Video game was awesome that’s all I remember about it

That was a great game. Had a simulation feel with a NFL Blitz type vibe. Very underrated EA Sports release

ESPN made it a big deal and I think I remember Mike and Mike calling games.

That's actually what killed it. When it was on NBC they showed games on the weekends and made it feel important (which NBC does better than anyone). And all the teams were on regional sports networks as well so you could watch damn near everything.

ESPN bought all the rights, showed one game a week on Monday nights with an occasional Saturday thrown in. They bought a stake in the league then proceeded to hide in from everyone. It was odd.

You have no idea what you're talking about, as usual.
