Yep.

This is one of those situations where the umpire was wrong, but Boone's rep preceded him...leading to the umpire having a hair trigger. In 6 seasons (and a handful of games this year) he has the 3rd highest ejection rate of any manager in MLB history. Higher than guys like Earl Weaver and Bobby Cox.

Again, while Boone didn't do anything this time, he doesn't have the benefit of the doubt with the umps.

We don’t need professional sports officials holding grudges and trying to get back at coaches to defend their brotherhoods honor.
