I bought my son a Panini Donruss Pat Mahomes rookie card a few years ago and I don’t think he cares too much about it. Is it worth keeping years down the line or selling it?

He's a pretty safe bet to hold onto.

Is it stupid that I bought a Michael Jordan Valentine’s Day PSA card? lol

(Not mine)

I know it’s not worth anything but I remember my older cousins having those on Valentine’s Day in the early 90s and I like the nostalgia of it.

The one that I’m still mad at myself about was getting rid of my Sports Illustrated for kids Tiger Woods rookie card. The PSA ones are going for a lot of money on eBay.

I used to have some of those valentine cards. What did you get back for the Woods?

That is not mine, that was a picture from Google. I had the card from the magazine and at that time, I didn’t think it was worth anything. I made a trade with my friend for his 1996 skybox e-x2000 set date Kobe Bryant rookie card.

That's a nice one. Those foil borders sure do chip easily. I had a few Bryant rookies, but none that nice. I still have a Upper Deck SP foil rookie die cut of Hill I pulled as a kiddo. Graded a BGS 8.5. It's probably worthless now, but when I pulled it, it was one of my better pulls. Hill and Jordan were my favorite NBA players at the time. And I thought Hill was going to be special. So hitting something that good and rare at that time is a memory that I'll always cherish.

I remember back then thinking $6 or $8 a pack was a lot. Now, it's nothing but an afterthought.

I have the magazine with the whole page/uncut sheet still in it. Debated taking it out and grading it but I've had it for so long I think I'm just going to keep it in the magazine.

Forgot I had a pic…

Any thought to slabbing the magazine as is? I guess it would keep you from physically flipping to the cards.

Really good turnout at the Shreveport show this weekend. Sold a ton, traded a lot, and bought a good bit

Some of my pickups (give me a sec to edit with pics)...

Holy grail piece for many. Can’t believe this came to my booth.

Brady PC buy.

Brady PC trade. Got this and cash for a Durant auto I picked up like 30 minutes before.

Bought this and a clean 2023 Prizm 1st off the line Dak gold 10/10 that I sent to PSA at the end of the show.

Older gentleman came in with a bunch of older complete sets. Got this complete set (with the Retro inserts) for $150.

Sucker for some Star Wars Galaxy numbered cards. Bought a stack of them with some Samurai reimagined art variations. One of my favorites.

My favorite F1 driver. /15. Also got the gold /50.

Just a couple highlights. Got some nice Stroud and Kelce rookies too.

You can grads video games now. It's all big business. Those star wars cards are real nice. I've been trying to get my hands on a Fisher for some time but all my funds have been in Pokemon

Yeah, you could probably talk PSA into slabbing/grading just about anything.

One thing to note on a slab like the magazine you posted - they graded the auto, not the magazine. Gotta watch for that on ebay. People will grade an auto on a card to 10 and then sell the card as if it is a 10 when the card itself has not been graded.

Thought about that as well. Just would kind of hate to not ever see the card that actually makes the magazine valuable you know

This isn't the same issue but the graded page by Beckett actually looks pretty good...

That graded page looks cool. I think that’s considered Tony hawk’s rc as well.

I have several signed programs and a signed Natty ticket I am going to send off to get PSA to grade. Mainly to help protect them.

Anyone heard of hit parade? As a new collector im wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

Im only a year into collecting so i have limited knowledge on what‘s the best method in building a solid collection and thought Hit Parade was interesting.
