That's funny you mentioned that. I remember growing up seeing a Grambling lab bus come pass my house. I had know idea lab and other private schools could do that. Trust me,schools like Arcadia don't have the resources to "lure" a family to move there. Its only because of the bloodline that both their girls and boys are in the top 28 every year. And that their girls have won 6 state championships.

LCA, Madison Prep are basketball programs masquerading around as schools

LCA is trying to do the same with their football program. They tried and looked for a while like they would get LSU commit Tyler Shelvin on their team next season but I think I heard he's going to Notre Dame instead.

That would be a good start. But even then when you get to the larger classifications it will become a problem, because of resources. The private schools have natural advantages in money. Thats why florida Doesn't allow IMG academy to compete against public schools or count their victories as legitimate.

I used to think that free was always good. Learned the hard way.

I personally am not in favor of a split, however. I think if the LHSAA can't police the select schools (which they can't), we should just apply a multiplier to the selects enrollment or just bump them all up a class.

Yes Hendo, T. Shelvin is going to Notre Dame. And I would love to see Lafayette Cult Academy play Teurlings, STM, or Acadiana in football and let them run it up their arse. Actually I wouldn't, you don't do it to kids in high school. Apparently LCA thinks otherwise. They got just what they deserved and more by getting beat by Arcadia. I bet they thought they were there for a coronation !

A big to LCA and their "pastor" Miller.

Absolutely not incorrect. I have a daughter that is a high level athlete, and has been offered scholarship or "we have lined up someone to take care of your child's tuition" at two different private schools.

"Most" is probably too strong a word. "Many" is better.

The twins transferred from North Central, Alexander transferred from Breaux Bridge, their best girl transferred from Berwick, they have another girl who transferred from Kaplan, another transfer from STM, and another transfer from Academy of Sacred Heart. They also had 2 a few players try to transfer but the kids weren't accepted. They also dropped an estimated 30k-50k to hire an attorney and 3rd party arbitrator to hear the Alexander case to get him eligible. All that time and money to finish ranked 4th in 1a
The problem with LCA's coaches and"El Presidente" is they are going out and encouraging kids to transfer from his/her current high school "selling a dream" and basically daring coaches around the area to do something about it.
If you're going to go out and take kids from current high schools in hopes of building a dream team, and you choke in the semi's to a far less superior team, then you deserve to have a thread created making fun of you with close to 100 comments.

by all means, continue piling on...

Awesome man! A young Byron. I Remember him when he played for grambling. He mentioned Honeycutt, I can tell you personally that he was the closest player I seen to Scotty Pippen. But didnt have a good mindset. Paul Milsap was a beast at Grambling. I know his family very well. Both parents are pastors. Very good family. Thanks for the link man!

Arcadia is not a inferior team. Two of their players are top 30 players in louisiana who have been playing with each other since grade school. Arcadia has won 25 in a row after starting the season 0-5 because 3 of their starters was in the football playoffs. Arcadia are not the creme puffs of district 1A-7.
