Well, I meant the comic writers, but my bad on not being clearer.

4 episodes in and now we get a mid season break, WTF? It was off for two years and after 4 episodes we have to wait until sometime in early 2024.

That opening to Episode 4, with no dialog and just Avalanche by Nick Cave was perfection. Just outstanding.

Just saw this. Fricking unbelievable. I like the show a lot, but damn what a slap in the face to the fans.

Splitting up the season (and only with 4 episodes at that) is egregiously bad. That being said I’m digging S2 so far. I do wish more would happen though.

I also didn’t care for Omni Man dying at the hands of the Viltrumites either. Mark should’ve been the one to accomplish that for character arc purposes. It also stands to reason that if OM, who is obviously way more powerful than Mark, fell to the Viltrumites, then Mark should have too. But I get it.

And I know the show is called Invincible, which means he basically can’t die, and they’ve been true to that. But man it would be nice if Mark would not get his arse completely kicked every single episode. Like good Lord he should be manhandling some of these other people, but instead ends up bashed and bloody and seemingly on the verge of death all the time. With the exception of the Viltrumites themselves, he should dominate most things easily.

It absolutely sucks to have to wait for more episodes though, especially after being without it for two whole years. And I remember worrying about all of the celebrity voices they were advertising for S2 when the trailers first came out and hoping it wouldn’t make it to overly campy. But it hasn’t at all. And outside of Seth Rogen I haven’t even noticed the voices too much. S2 has been solid.

And I agree with whoever said in the thread that Eve would basically be the most dominant hero of the show since she can literally control all matter. Talk about a trump card.

Huh? They took him off on a stretcher at the end of the episode so he could be "executed."

Ok then I must have missed that line. Didn’t they disembowel and dismember him?

Yeah but then there was what seems like emergency services tending to him and loading him up. Then another guy tries to recruit Mark to the Viltrum Empire and tells him his dad is going to be executed.

That’s true, I do remember that. But I guess I initially took that as a “we’re gonna make sure he stays dead” kinda thing. But yours makes more sense.

So clearly OM isn’t gonna be killed by them then.

They didn't dismember or disembowel Omni Man. He had his back broken when he wasn't looking because he thought the other Viltrumites were all dead.

Also, he was actively talking to Mark while he was being taken off on the stretcher at the end. Y'all gotta pay attention

In my defense I watched that episode at work, so my attention wasn't fully focused on the show at the time.

But I'll likely watch that episode again before the new ones come out.

Yeah I'd say they either escape together or Omni Man gets brainwashed into joining back up with the Viltrumites.

I've been slowly kind of making my way through S2 and was tried to watch episode 5 today. Just to find out it's not out yet. I agree with you, it's a awful awful decision.

Started Gen V instead.
