Sad I missed it in theaters. It is definitely worthy.

The visuals and the score, especially the first 2 hours are absolutely amazing and masterful.

The movie lives up to the hype

At least at home you can pause the rewind the X rated scenes. Dude was a player.

If this doesn't win Best Picture, or Nolan for Best Director, or Murphy for Best Lead Actor, I will absolutely riot.

I wonder if Barbie is going to get nominated too. I haven’t seen it so I can’t comment but it looked pretty mid.

Everything I'm seeing still says November 21. Are you from the future?

I have the 4K Blu-ray ordered through Amazon, I had forgotten the date and this thread made me check. It is still showing as being released/delivered next Tuesday the 21st.

Best movie of the year by some distance. I expect I’ll still feel that way after the awards contenders come out in December.

I'm glad it's finally out. I can buy it and save money on serotonin.

the score

Really stood out to me on the rewatch. First watch was in true IMAX so I was overwhelmed with Murphy’s giant face to truly appreciate how perfect the score was.

It felt like most Chris Nolan films. Some really great bits surrounded by filler. Great visuals, Great individual acting performances, great score, but something feels disjointed.

The RDJ angle was overplayed. Oh no, he was behind the commie inquiry all along because Oppy embarrassed him in a congressional hearing, how fascinating.

It's needed to provide a positive light on Oppenheimer's historical legacy and what happened after.
