That was Maeve's "Inclusive Kingdom ”. I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I saw the signs for "BLM BLTs", "Woke Wok", and "LGBTurkey Legs".
It had a real "businesses who pander to this are a joke" vibe.
As others have said, this season didn't waste any time on setting that "holy shite that's crazy" bar pretty damned high. Exploding a guy by insta-growing out of his dick? WHO THINKS OF THIS!?!
I loved the tinnitus sound to give the viewer an idea that Homelander was struggling to not completely lose his shite. That scene with the jumper was fricking gold. It all did a great job of building up to that phenomenal TV outburst.
After that, he just went full bore on fricking with people. That entire meal with Deep was just him making sure Deep understood who was in charge. The #Homelight thing was a swerve I didn't see coming.
This three-episode start to the season was a great way to get things kicked off. The only bad part is having to wait for the rest of the episodes.

Pretty fun so far. Did the CGI for the blood and guts get worse this season? Looks very Sci Fi channel level effects.
Also I guess I did not recall some of the season 2 storylines very well. I barely remember the cult storyline.

Some far this season is awesome. Homelander is one of my all time favorite characters and the actor absolutely nails it.

The propaganda and head canon is extremely strong with this season. Everything imaginable that’s wrong in the world is because of Nazis and Reagan. No one else.
For fricks sake, they could not have dotted the i’s and crossed the T’s anymore clearer.

I think a more Chomsky approach to half truths would have omitted Russian meddling and only blamed the United States.
I really got nervous about the show jumping the shark with the StormFront secret Nazi thing but they didn't go full retard.
You can probably find things in the show to dislike no matter which political belief system you hold. I'm happy they aren't just riding one hobby horse. Even the heroic characters are fairly imperfect.
And the worst sociopath of the show might be Homelander but they show him pulling back from the Nazi belief system (which frankly makes sense because being Superman is a lot more special than blonde hair and blue eyes or hatred of Jewish people). He really doesn't have any relationship to mundane outlets or rationales for murderous behavior.
