I didn’t make it but heard the crowd was weird.

I’ve seen TT over a handful of times, and I agree with MB that Evan just isn’t into it like he used to be. I saw them at Red Rocks right when they came back and even then I could tell he just didn’t have the fire in him.

Turnpike at the varsity with fricked up Evan was as good as it gets. It’s a shame about the sound but I’ve heard that from a lot of venues they’ve played at in the last couple of years x

It was not very diverse but I did not find it weird. Saw a bunch of baws I hadn't seen in a while. You could go up to the uppers and watch the show or sneak down to the floor for whatever experience you wanted.

Sound was very crappy for TBT and TT, no matter where you were. Concessions got a little better but damn if they aren't slow as shite.

Yeah, I didn’t think the crowd was weird. The concessions were really slow, and they shut down real early.

I was very close to the stage and front of house sound was beyond bad

he was very... stoic? just kinda went through the motions it seemed like. he used to be so much more into playing.

He just seems like he’s forcing it now idk. Also, I’ve noticed his tempo just seems off from how his songs are recorded. Still great to hear but just different, but that’s expected.

Turnpike had zero stage presence.

I expected Isbell to be going through the motions also, but he put on a great performance. He was in another league than Turnpike that night.

Isbell and the 400 unit blew them off the stage and I love turnpike.

He’s a professional. An a**hole, but a professional.

We’re making the trip to Red Rocks in two weeks to see Turnpike and American Aquarium. I wouldn’t be surprised if AA outperforms them too. AA never takes a night off, you always get their best.

Saw turnpike in Macon Ga last night and they kicked arse. Had a 30 min delay bc they blew up something electrical and still came back on and finished the last two songs.

Turnpike seemed a bit flat. Isbell was awesome but all business. no anecdotes or banter between songs.

Trampled by Turtles was great too but played like 35 minutes

First time seeing Isbell. politics aside.. he was fantastic. great sound.

Second time seeing TPT.... both since the return a couple years ago.

They were terrible. Obvious they are mailing it in. Sound progressively got worse which I Suspect is to cover up fading vocals.
Will not see them again.

And the river center sucks.

I fricking love turnpike. But I won’t go see them again. Their sound issues are a problem that no one seems to give a frick about.

100% agree I thought they mailed the set in when they didn't get a sold out crowd that sang every word of every song. Isbell never lets you down man puts on a great show.
