Looking back at history, the Saints have drafted west

It seems we always love drafting PAC 10/12 players in the first round. If not pac 10 players, BYU or Texas players in first round. Never seems to work out.

Only BYU baw I know of is Taysom and Saint didn’t draft him. Plus BYU is out west anyway

Ahh yes. Who can forget All Pac 10 players like Bryan Bresee, Chris Olave or Cesar Ruiz. That BYU legend Sheldon Rankins. And those Texas guys that didn’t work out like Marshon Lattimore and Cam Jordan.

I get your point, but Cam Jordan from Cal-Berkeley is a bad cite for countering the OP’s premise.

Shawn Knight, Alex Molden, Russell Erx, Andrus Peat, Brandon Cooks, Cam Jordan, Kenny Vacarro, Ricky Williams, Kyle Turley,Chris Narvlode, Alex Molden, Mark Fields, Shawn Knight.. all of those were 1st round west players of the Saints. How did it turn out!
