Or, Roger Goodell and his Competiton Committee Chairman Rich McKay (Falcons) assigning 4 Southern California refs so this happens:

With stats like:

The Panthers have 6 first downs by penalty and the Saints have 1.

Saints 11 penalties for 115 yards. Panthers 5 penalties for 49 yards.

An opponent getting 6 first downs by penalty keeps their scoring drives alive negating a good defense.

These statistical anomalies have occurred far too often the last few years to be coincidental.

Sounds like we need to play more disciplined

The announcers said three of the calls were wrong. Mcafferry was getting tripped with one foot half in bounds, 15 yards, wrong call.

The roughing the penalty with his arm grappling the qb above the knee in the leg. The legal zone to tackle. 15 yards, wrong call.

The flinch where there tackle clearly moved, but we got the 5 yards and they got a first down. Wrong call.

Get him at least one other capable receiver and a viable TE and yes. Absolutely.

Completely false. POS Goodell would do everything in his power to prevent that.

Undisciplined teams do not achieve this:

2020 12-4

2019 13-3

2018 13-3

2017 11-5

The Saints have won four consecutive division titles.

The Saints are at the top of the league for regular season total victories for the four year period.

The Saints would be even more productive except for these type of penalty stats that have occurred over the last four years.

2019 sample stats:

In the first four games following the Saints bye, the Saints opponents have 21 first downs by penalty.

The Saints have 2 first downs by penalty.

Saints opponents in this four game stretch have committed 21 penalties for 146 yards.

In contrast, the Saints have committed 42 penalties for 410 yards.

Of the 23 first downs awarded by penalty in the Saints first four games since the bye, Saints opponents have 91.3% of the first downs awarded by penalty.

In contrast, the Saints have been awarded only 8.7% of the first downs by penalty.

The penalty stats in 2020 are atrocious.

There is no proof of an NFL agenda against the Saints.

These cluster stats occur each season and do prevent the Saints from getting higher seeds and losing tie breakers.

Incredible numbers to support this. Not saying you're wrong, because I agree with a bias in penalties, but is there anything besides overall record showing that we aren't actually committing these penalties?

Are there other instances of this happening, say maybe the patriots?

2017 stats:

Saints were last in first downs by penalty and the Patriots were first in getting first downs by penalty.

2019 stats:

The Saints were 2nd to last in getting 1st downs by penalty.

The Chiefs were first in getting first downs by penalty.

True. It puts the Saints right back in the top teams of the NFL talk.

False - and it nothing to do with the Saints, and everything to do with Rodgers - he just doesn't care, and has the ego mentality he doesn't need the NFL or anyone.
