This is similar to what our CIA played for Mike Johnson in the skiff to get him to change his position from:

“US southern border security before any additional foreign aid!”

into:

“$100 billion additional foreign aid to Ukraine and Israel and lulz I was just kidding about southern border security altogether.”

People don’t want it to be like it is, but it do.

Often wondered if AI will drive us back to visceral experiences.
Nothing we see or hear on a phone will be verifiable anymore.

That's not true. They'll believe all the recordings of are legitimate because SnopesTech deemed it organic.

You are giving him too much credit.

Mike Johnson is a politician, and much like Hollywood, anyone who gets into that field is a broken, fricked in the head degenerate.

Hell, they probably don’t have to fake anything.

That aside, if this guy can create a fake voice recording, the CIA could likely produce a full on perfect video at this point.

Yep. This was apparently created with a tool that costs $5/month and needs a one minute recording.

This is really scary.

I already question pretty much any video/recording I see or hear online.

I've been jaded ever since I downloaded all those viruses from Limewire to our family computer in the early 00s. Lesson learned -- I assume everything is fake until it proves to me otherwise.

Sadly, this mindset also spills over to real life more often than I'd like.

Please note: The black guy pictured is NOT the athletic director. It is the picture of Jerome Lovick, a prominent black man who recently passed away.

"Doctors" is not some monolithic block. They hold many different and conflicting opinions and ideas.

There is really no way to believe "doctors"

I've been telling y'all that this cute little, weird handed picture shite isn't the concern with AI. It is the fact that a person with very little knowledge or skill can make another person, any person whose recorded voice they can access, say anything they want them to say. All it takes is a small amount of money and a little time.

ETA: Combine that with the mindless horde chomping at the bit ready and willing to "cancel" anyone at the drop of the hat and we have a problem.

He can't just be a prominent man who passed away?
