They don’t all just die off in the winter or else Alaska would be mosquito free. Meanwhile, mosquitoes are so bad there they kill caribou from asphyxiation.

It's actually the lack of humidity keeps their numbers down in the winter.

If this was a thing mosquitoes would have been killed off with the first ever freeze. Hell, ask Roger and our other Alaskans what the mosquitoes are like up there.

Mosquitoes themselves are quite susceptible to the cold, their eggs not as much.
