Crowds on Demand

Take a look at the website for these folks.
They openly advertise that they can assemble a crowd of angry protesters for political rallies, corporate press conferences, etc…

These companies have existed for years. This isn’t new I don’t get the pearl clutching about it.

And it wasn't uncommon a few decades back to employ professional mourners for wakes and funerals

It is called Astroturfing. Entergy got busted for this a few years ago filling up the New Orleans city council chamber with their supporters to the point that the opposition was not able to get in because the room was too packed.

The Lens Nola

It does talk about the fine as it was slapped a year after the article was written.

It looks like a sweet gig. The firm paid 60 dollars a day and if you spoke in support of Entergy they gave you 200 dollars a day. That was back in 2017. With inflation, that could be double today.

Entergy denied the allegation and blamed their PR firm for doing the deed.

In the past I’ve been told I’m just a conspiracy theorist for saying this happens.

Histrionics and irony heavy here.

Discussing is Pearl clutching? Idiot.
