So 3 weeks ago my wife and I decided to take our children out of state to my mother’s for Thanksgiving. My mom is in her 80s and may not be well enough to host a holiday much longer.

We coordinated with my 2 brothers and their families, who had to also rearrange plans in order to make it work for everyone.

Well...3 days ago, dear wife decides we should heed the CDC’s advice and stay home.
We had a pretty solid argument about it and left it with her staying home while I take the kids to Thanksgiving.

Imagine my surprise when she loses her sh!t today because I haven’t decided to break off my plans and capitulate to her will. Never mind that it would be a shitty thing to do to my family, she has latched onto the idea that I am showing how much I dislike/disrespect her by leaving her alone on Thanksgiving.

Guys...for real...don’t do it.

Let's examine the results in a few months.

This smells like a shite-test to me.

Your wife is a selfish bitch that needs to grow up.

This is a sign of coming attractions. When life hits you with real problems, watch how she handles it.

This fight isn’t about Covid. If you haven’t learned that yet then you haven’t been paying attention.

Elections have consequences, and you made a poor election of a bride.

Eh I married my best friend. 20 years later and she is still the best part of my life. Get married, but make sure you are committing to the right one. I’m not saying it is easy and that people don’t change, but don’t settle.
