Barry is from Murfeesboro,Tennessee and is actually a pretty good person. He doesn't have that "I'm an astronaut, you're nothing persona". My Flight Director award has me standing 2 people down from Barry since he was on that crew for STS-129. My plaque is actually signed by the entire crew, including Barry.

Suni is an astronaut I had a personal exchange with on Space to Ground Comms. She was doing an experiment called EMCH (Elastic Memory Composite Hinge) and she was watching for the break point...it was taking a long time...finally it broke and I told Paycom...."See sometimes a watched pot does actually boil". He said that on S/G and she nodded her head and laughed. Another good astronaut.

I hope Boeing's Starliner doesn't cost us a couple of good astronauts.

I have quite a few. Worked on Console as a Payload Rack Officer from 2002-2015 and the original EXPRESS Logistics Carrier (ELC) Ops Lead.

Over 10,000 hours on console with close to 50K commands sent to ISS.

Loved that job. When the fit hit the shan on orbit, that job got even better.
