Is this the equivalent of the "I have a pitbull and it hasn't killed anyone so pitbulls are safe" argument for Nola?

Frankly the worst thing I had to deal with in NOLA were the cops. Just rude, lazy, and vulgar.

I know two people who had guns pulled on them, both my parents had their cars broken into multiple times, a cousin of mine had his car stolen.

Been here since 2019, used to live near Freret and Napoleon and had my car window smashed in 2020. Other than that, no issues. I also don’t put myself in positions/places where bad things could happen. A little awareness goes a long way.

This thread will be full of anecdotal stories with no specifics.

I've been popping in every "shite on New Orleans" thread.
We live about halfway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

In the last year:

*Went with all the kids down to Jackson Square/Cafe Dumonde/French Market.

*Took 15 yr old to see Van Gogh(parked kind of far and walked around CBD).

*Took the same 15 yr old to see Hamilton at the Saenger(parked in blacktop parking lot a few blocks away)

*Went to LSU/FSU game. Parked across I-10 near medical school.

*Went with a friend to French Quarter and Saint's MNF game vs Ravens(stayed at Hilton Riverside and went all over FQ and CBD that day).

We've had no issues. Been great every time. Except for the outcome of the football games we attended. And why is my 15 yr old the only 1 of 4 kids with any appreciation for the arts?
