I worked in a restaurant when I was at LSU and that was over 30 years ago.
The shite I saw staff do to the food of a-hole customers would wound your soul.
Not that it was a regular occurrence mind you, and they did kinda almost deserve it, but damn

On a very much related note be nice to the people preparing your food, even when they frick up. Just trust me on this

This kind of stuff has always happened. It's nothing new if you go out to eat you should expect that it might have some low level employee doing nasty shite with your food

I burned on multiple lines over 30 years ago and I am willing to bet anything you can find I was aware of just as bad or worse. Never piss off the back of house.
All bets are off at low end places that hire anyone with a pulse though. Although, to be honest, the food handling practices and general cleanliness of those places scare me more than the chance of my food being fricked with. You can have a great experience with the drive-thru girl at Hardee's but the food is still going to be coated in filth.

Even if you're nice to them, I'm sure they frick with your food.
Most of the fast food joints hire the bottom of the barrel people.

The original sourced traced back to a fetish porn website and this is what reported to the feds. But if you really want to know....the McDonald's video was pretty mild he he put patties in is crotch and drop them in the toilet and return them to steamers.
The sandwich shop videos was crazy. It had to be a Jason Deli type place versus a subway due to the sheer amount of raw ingredients and cooked foods. He pretty much spit, pissed, ejaculated in soups, sauces, batters, etc. As for the more solid food items he rubbed them across his entire body from neck down and dropped them in toilets. Pissed in foods stored in the freezer.
There were about 10-15 videos all being at least a min and a half. So he had a lot of time.to be destructive with foods.

If it's gotten to the point of "they all do it", it's time to require cameras in the kitchen. Playing around with the well-being of customers deserves jail time.

the difference is thirty years ago, or twenty years ago when i waited tables, to piss off the waitstaff or to piss off back of house you had to be a dickhead customer for the most part. now that doesnt excuse that kind of behavior from a restaurant staff, but it at least explains it.
these days in order to piss off waitstaff or back of house, you just have to be, say, white or male.
