8 State Troopers on each block. HUGE presence. Seen multiple arrests in just a few minutes walking down the street.

Came down with my kids in their early 20s to make sure they were safe. Catching the game in a bar off the street.

I’m glad my dad wasn’t babysitting me when I was a grown adult.

Who is paying the bill: the state or the shithole city who voted for the crime?

The amount of OT the city pays some of their NOPD officers, they could easily pay some state troopers. Some of those guys in the NOPD are making between $150-200k year.

I’m not saying I’d do it. I’m just stating the city has the funds to pay state troopers.

Anyone arrested by State Police has to deal with the local DA or the AG’s office?

Please do this in Baton Rouge.

The state has a financial interest in bourbon street and New Orleans being safe. Especially for Mardi Gras. The small amount it pays to send state troopers down there pales in comparison to the revenue the state will see.
