Remember when people had those big.satellite dishes for tv and it could sprinkle and mess up? Even the smaller dishes today has problems.
No way in hell in 1969 could they had broadcast the moon landing live from the moon.

Im just talking about landing on the moon. Yes we benefitted from the investment in the form of spin off tech and some experimental data but it was mostly about national pride. We could afford to blow the money on the accomplishment for the sake of an accomplishment. Other have obviously done the calculation and its not worth it....at least so far.

We're planning to go back and gave a whole bunch of reasons: Economical, political, further space exploration, etc.
I get the 60s space wars and we got there first thing, I get that. But that does not mean there were no advantages for a country to go back any time in the last 50 years. So I just don't see any logical answer as to why another country didn't go anytime in the last 10 or 20 years for the reasons above and in my previous post.

Another thing that showed that Sibrel guy was slimy(hell, Rogan played devil's advocate for most of the show and still did a better job on the side of being critical of whether it's real)...
Sibrel claimed there was this conference in Russia, and Google's Neural Network could be shown pictures and can always with 100% accuracy tell you if it's real or fake...and it's never been wrong, etc.
He said it was shown moon landing pics, and it immediately pointed out all the reasons they were fake.
This is essentially not true. It is true that someone at some Russian conference with Putin did say that Google did that, but that is the extent of it. Google has come out and said that's not true. And while yes, I am perfectly fine with being critical of Google for any number of reasons and/or not believing them, but the main point is, the only proof is some random guy saying Google's neural network did this and doing so in Russia saying it to Putin.
But Sibrel passed it off as fact, like it 100% happened and Google really did do that.

Something else to consider......I know we think 1960 tech..surely its gotten better and cheaper for other countries to to produce by now and achieve or surpass our accomplishments. but if you look at aircraft like the.... X-15 and SR71..made with slide rules.... are still the fastest (at least to our knowledge) aircraft ever built even 50 years later.

Another non-technical person who thinks they know something. Hint: NASA transmitters were NOT subject to FCC regs on power output, broadcast band, cost that could be supported by your $19.95/month subscription, etc. Your backyard antenna cost about $100 to make back then, NASA's cost $100M. Ya get what ya pay for.
Put another way, do you really think the radar on a civilian jet airliner can see as far, in as much detail, without being detectable, as the radar in a F-35? Or even in the older F-15? You'd be dead wrong, with an AIM-120 up your tailpipe to prove it if you challenged that.

I think the guys went to space and did things, but NASA reached too far and produced scenes, made on Earth, and tried to pass them as authentic.
