I heard the chicken rumor too. I work with a guy that has a senior at VC. I’ll ask him if there is any validity to that rumor today. It seems like Jobu was not pleased. They’re still pretty bad.
This same school almost lost part of their basketball season last year with the students yelling some sort of racial stuff from the student section at a game right after Christmas in 2022. I’m fairly certain they played at least 1 game with parents/siblings only in the crowd.
My nephew graduated from there about a decade ago. It has always been one of those schools that seemed decent enough, but never really great at anything. They’re getting some publicity now.

I coach high school xc and middle school track at Andover so I interact with valley a lot. Never had any issues with their xc team but good lord if the middle school track team isn’t a mess. Doesn’t surprise me they’ve had the issues they’ve had.

I don't have a problem with it at all. A bit extreme? Maybe so but as a coach and educator you gotta know that doing this kind of thing in this day and age is not gonna go over very well.

I’m gonna be honest if they cooked it after then I have less of a problem with this. It’s still stupid and shouldn’t have been done but if the bird is dying ultimately to make a meal then at least it was being killed just to kill it.
As another poster said though their lack of judgement in realizing how this would go over in todays day and age is the more concerning piece of this. Someone that stupid probably shouldn’t be around kids.
